You can’t please everyone. No scrap that…you don’t need to please everyone!

In fact, it’s pretty much impossible.

No matter how hard you try, there will always be someone that doesn’t like you. There will always be someone that doesn’t agree with you. There will always be someone that looks for your mistakes. So why waste your time on them? It’s just not worth it and it’s exhausting!

Focus your attention on those that you impact with your energy. They might not always be vocal or visible, but they are there. Watching. Listening. Absorbing.

It’s easier said than done, right? I hear you. I fall into the people-pleasing trap too sometimes.

Take a deep breath.

Set healthy boundaries to stay true to yourself. Make yourself a priority. Learn to say ‘No’. Feel the fear, push past it and do what feels right for you. Of course, this takes a little practise.

It’s ok to not be perfect. That’s what makes you human.

Showing up as yourself, flaws and all, will connect you with the right kind of people. Stuff the rest!
